How internet connectivity quickly relays information

VIRTUAL Synchronicity is a byproduct of ‘computer cloud’ whereby massive data are put together, according to a lesson learnt during a visit to Ningxia Province in China by this reporter, a good example that Tanzania can emulate.
According to the Director General of Internet and Letters Affairs Office of Information Department Mr Xu He, one of the major benefits of the internet facility is general security.

In Ningxia, for example, information about any newcomer must be entered into the computerised virtual system, hence indirectly to the relevant authorities within an hour of their arrival.

All residences are in the records, implicitly all residents of the Yinchan city are in this system, but also including their pets and cats and this will mean that whenever they are injected, their records are fed to the information system.

The situation is the same in all hotels, and whenever one visits a residential apartment, this must be reported in the ‘cloud system’ quoting one’s identity number. The best thing is whoever attempts to cheat the photo records will report immediately of such discrepancy. This system also informs the whole areas on debts in water and electricity bills just at the pressing of a button.

This system has as well yielded good results in crime prevention, both from organised crimes but also even in traffic cases because of the video surveillances. The data cloud can easily lead on seeking apartments for rent and tourist attractions in the respective area.

To this effect, according to Mr. Qi Wei his company the Hikvision has been one of the major producers of electronic detecting surveillance items in terms of cameras and mobile recorders. These can take photographs of moving objects; technology drones and even sends anti-explosion drones.

The company also produces intelligent robot and car surveillance, ATM machines for banks, intelligent building system and smart parking systems. Through this technology one can get to understand where there are free parking spaces in the mid city because the network will be informed.

The best thing about such technologies is the fact that the internet system can be operated by wind power.

Tanzania has imported such technology from this company for importation of ATM machines for the operation of its banks namely the CRDB bank, NMB and others. Tanzania could benefit more from the fiber optical cable which has been installed in place since 2010 drawing from these experiences in China.

A visit to the Fiber Home Technologies Group in Wuhan Hubei Province, indicated that the utility of this cable has to a large extent, facilitated for big data sharing, communication in general, and eased the sharing of information.

But even more is the fact that internet connectivity has had a significant impact in e-commerce and business in general. The application of this modern technology has also improved marketing and management.

But on another aspect researchers and academicians can improve their works through the easily available information in the websites. In the field of online journalism this will mean a lot thanks to the ‘virtual synchronicity’ of information.

The digital world has improved many other situations whereby removable drives reduce the heavy load and protect the environment due to a reduction of the falling of trees. Digital components facilitate data security and information in many aspects of life like transport logistics, digital forensics and investigation, and data storage for safe data backups.

The information and communications technologies (ICTs) now enjoys the ‘ovum’ where a simple information even if it was a single paragraph can lead to a whole big story. The whole range of optical networks, cable communications, optoelectronics have facilitated for a quick retrieval of information.

The overall effect of these advancements can be felt in all fields of life, from e-medicine, e-learning, e-commerce etc. security experts can easily synchronize information of those with criminal records during the investigations, but also in all kind of intelligence and surveillance.

The ‘Fiber Home’ which was established in 1999 with more than 1000 workers has made a big contribution to China through this expertise but indeed to the whole ‘global village’ network.

No wonder it has been receiving special orders from all over the world. One of its major clients and working partners are those dealing with service monitoring technologies like the SMG Computers whose products have played a vital role such as companies and house registration, overview of business activities, contact details and social networks.

A tour to this company showed that apart from the precision technology there are many other technologies captured including Printed Circuit Board (PCB) which is a thin board made of fiberglass, composite epoxy, or other laminate material.

This is important in conductive pathways connecting different components such as transistors, resistors, and integrated circuits. Thanks to advanced technologies, its application has had tremendous effects in the general lives of people. *Elias Mhegera is a Tanzanian journalist, currently based in Beijing, China
